Far Cry: New Dawn
After Far Cry 5 was a huge hit, players were excited to see how this series would change in future games. But New Dawn was a slap in the face that took away most of what was good about its predecessor and brought many Ubisoft fans back to reality.
The idea of visiting Far Cry 5’s map right before the nuclear bomb goes off is interesting. But New Dawn doesn’t do much with this idea. It doesn’t help that the writing isn’t very good and that the game doesn’t really do anything new after Far Cry 5’s many improvements and new ideas.
Far Cry: Primal
Far Cry: Primal looked pretty interesting at first. The thought of a Far Cry game set in the Stone Age could definitely work. The lack of guns would add a lot of strategy to the game.
Far Cry: Primal’s problem, though, is that it didn’t add anything new or interesting to the game besides a few tweaks to the main gameplay loop. The map design looked like it was taken right out of Far Cry4, and the story and characters were way too easy to forget for a series where the writing is one of the main draws.
Far Cry
The first Far Cry game is pretty rough around the edges and hasn’t held up all that well over time. The enemies can see the player from such a ridiculously far away that it’s almost impossible to sneak around a base.
This, along with the fact that enemies can hit you with perfect accuracy from miles away, makes Far Cry a very harsh game. There are some good ideas in it, and it set up a pattern that later games in the series would build on.
Far Cry 6
The fact that Giancarlo Esposito was revealed to be the main bad guy in Far Cry 6 was more than enough to get people excited about the game. This is why it’s such a huge letdown that the game crashed and burned as soon as it came out. Once again, the copy-and-paste design of Ubisoft’s games really bit them when Far Cry 6 was called a complete and utter failure.
This game didn’t do as well as it could have. Because it didn’t try to improve or change the methods of its predecessor. What could have been a fun and exciting game turned out to be a huge letdown. Which has ruined the game’s reputation for good.
Far Cry 4
After how great Far Cry 3 was, it’s easy to see why so many people wanted the next game in the series to take it to even higher levels. But Far Cry 4 just felt like more of the same, with a new setting and a few small changes.
The game was still fun to play, but it didn’t feel like a true update. Instead, it added to Jason Brody’s story. Still, it’s fun to explore Kyrat, and the game has its share of high points.
Far Cry 2
It’s too bad that fans of the first Far Cry game haven’t tried the second one. Some parts of this game may be old, but it’s also thought to be the most engaging in the series, which is a very high compliment.
By looking at a real map and GPS tracker, players have to deal with malaria while traveling around the world. The game’s systems also work well together, and many people think that even easy things like wildfires are better in Eggy Car.
Far Cry 5
Many people think that Far Cry 5 is the best game in the series, and for a number of reasons. Hope County has become an instant icon. this game was a huge hit because of how well it was put together. It has many of the features that people expect from a standard open-world game. But it was the game’s refinement and finish that made it so popular.
It helps that the Seed family are some of the best bad guys in the history of video games. Each character has a troubling, yet interesting, personality that makes them easy to dislike and interesting to listen to. This game was a fan favorite that brought the series back to the forefront thanks to its fun gameplay and open-world nature.
Far Cry 3
Far Cry 3 is the game that made this series and Ubisoft famous. And Vaas Montenegro became one of the best villains of all time right away. By today’s standards, the way this game is played may seem pretty old. But Far Cry 3 was once seen as the most innovative game ever made.
It helped that the story and gameplay went together so well, something that no other game has done since. Even though Ubisoft has made a lot of other games since Far Cry 3. There is something truly amazing about it that keeps people coming back.
